Christian teachings for women

In this opportunity we bring to share several christian teachings for women. These instructions will be based on women from the Bible who give us an example of qualities that are worthy of being imitated by today's Christians.

Historically, women have been a great blessing in the formation and development of the Church of Jesus Christ in the nations. In fact, in the Bible we find remarkable women who have much to teach us, and can be a source of inspiration for today's faithful warriors of the faith.

6 Biblical Qualities to Imitate as Christian Teachings for Women

With that said, we will next discuss six separate qualities of women that we find in the Bible. In order to meditate on them and make them part of our lives as women of faith and bearers of the message of Salvation in Christ Jesus.

Mary, mother of Jesus teaches us humility

Mary, a virtuous woman from Nazareth in the region of Galilee, was favored, finding grace before God. For from her womb was born Jesus the Son of the Most High God, to whom the Lord gave the throne of heaven.

Mary was used by God to give birth to her son Jesus and as he prepared to begin his ministry on earth, she would play the role of his mother. Given this, we can imagine that in the humanity of Mary as any woman descended from Adam.

It could have happened that her heart was filled with pride, she had every reason to feel proud of being chosen by God among so many women. Because she took it into account, so that the Messiah would be born from her womb.

However, Mary took the attitude of humbling herself before God and praising him for his great goodness. She praised him not thinking of the blessing she was receiving, but actually of the ultimate blessing that the Messiah represented to the world.

Mary knew in her spirit the magnitude of what Jesus represented to the world as the bearer of Salvation. That is why in her words spoken to the angel of God, she prophesied that the whole world would bear witness to Jesus Christ and that she was the servant of God, whose womb was the instrument for her birth:

Luke 1:46-48 (PDT): 46 Then Mary said: –I praise the Lord with all my heart. 47 I'm glad very much in God my Savior, 48 because he took into account his humble servant. From now on everyone will say that God has blessed me.

This same humility should be imitated as part of christian teachings for women of faith In the form of being guided by the Spirit of God to be used in the work of the Lord.

Ana teaches us to persevere in the sentence

In the Old Testament in the first Book of Samuel, we find the story of Hannah, the mother of this prophet and messenger of God. Ana was one of the two wives of Elcana, a man who lived in Sofin and was a descendant of Ephraim:

1 Samuel 1:2 (RVC): Elkanah had two wives; one of them was called Ana, and the other, Penina. She had children, but not so Ana.

As we see Ana, God had not granted her the blessing of being a mother and at that time the sterility in a woman was considered a shame. That is why Ana kept her great sadness in her heart, which the other woman from Elcana took advantage of to annoy her.

Annually Elcana with her family traveled to the city of Silo, to worship in the presence of the Lord of hosts. Every year Ana she worshiped before the Lord and persevered in prayer, asking God for the blessing of a son.

On one of these trips, Ana's prayer was so profound that she cried bitterly. That year Ana in her prayer made a vow to God telling him that, if she granted her a male child, she would consecrate him to her service. Her constancy in Ana's prayer made God listen to her, granting her request:christian-teachings-for-women-4

Let us imitate Ana's perseverance in the walk of faith, trusting that God listens to us and that in his time he will fulfill according to his good will.

Mary Magdalene, example of courage

In the Gospel of Luke we find the story of Mary Magdalene, a woman whom Jesus frees from seven demons, see Luke 8:2. This woman is an example of gratitude and courage in leaving her worldly past behind her in order to follow and serve Jesus.

Her life is an example of what a true transformation represents, Mary Magdalene went from being a spiritual slave of sin to being a servant of our Lord Jesus Christ. This woman was the first, along with the other Mary, to bear witness to the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Mary Magdalene gives us a Christian teaching of extraordinary improvement in faith. She represents a true transformation of life and how God operates in the lives of people who welcome Jesus Christ in their hearts.

Miriam's example of wisdom

Moses' sister named Miriam gives us an example of wisdom by allowing herself to be guided by the Spirit of God to save her brother from dying before the edict issued by the Egyptian pharaoh.

Miriam together with her mother devised a strategy, being guided by the Holy Spirit of God, to save Moses. This young woman demonstrated wisdom from on high by following the basket that was carrying Moses down the river and then convincing Pharaoh's daughter to use the child's real mother as a wet nurse:

Exodus 2:7 (NASB): Then the sister of the child said to the daughter of Pharaoh: Do you want me to go and call a nurse of the Hebrew women to nurse the child for you?

Let us ask God in adverse situations to grant us wisdom from above to be able to deal with them and achieve victory, as Miriam did.

Rajab's God-fearing Example

The Bible mentions that Rajab was a prostitute, this woman was the one who hid the two spies that Joshua sent to the city of Jericho in her house. She hid them for fear of God, in her heart she knew who the Lord was:

Such a statement by Rajab showed how great her fear of God was and earned her the Lord to make her part of the genealogy of Jesus, see Matthew 1:5.

The Samaritan Woman in Christian Teachings for Women

The only encounter of the Samaritan woman with Jesus earned her to recognize in her heart who the Lord was. From her conversation with Jesus, the Samaritan woman allowed herself to be enveloped by faith in Jesus.

This faith instilled in him a great missionary passion to make Jesus known among the people, see the biblical passage John 4: 1-30. Today every Christian woman should feel this same passion to spread the message of Salvation in Christ Jesus among the people.

In the image below we can see another of the Christian teachings for women, about the virtuous woman of the biblical text Proverb, proverbs 31: 10-31.
