In the Christian context, hope can be understood as confidence, the particular expectation that God will fulfill his promises in our lives.
In other words, we could say that hope is anticipating believing that under God's direction we will obtain a favorable result in a given situation.
Everything we know has been created by God. However, putting our hope in the things of the world such as riches, governments, humanity always fills us with despair, disenchantment and disappoints us (Psalms 49:6-12; 52:7; Proverbs 11:28)
We must be clear that God is the only unshakeable one. He is the only one who gives us full security, care, protection, blessings.
