The Climate: Temperature and Humidity of the Earth

Weather plugins are weather miracles that are present in the atmosphere that demonstrate the weather and climate of a place. These are known as temperature and humidity, in this article we will talk a little more about them.

Temperature and humidity

These are the effects obtained by various factors that work together, geographical circumstances, as is the case of mountains, Seas and oceans are a definitive part of their weather elements.

Temperature

This is the intensity acquired by the presence of heat which can be measured with the help of a thermometer. In physics it is known as a rising intensity and is linked to the internal power of a thermodynamic method.

Among other words, it is directly linked to the internal power, better known as the kinetic power, which is based on the movements of the molecules of the system, so that it is a rotational capacity or in the form of vibrations, while the kinetic power is higher it becomes hotter, this means that its temperature is high.

temperature units

The temperature measurement scales are distributed in only two classes, relative and absolute. The values that temperature can obtain on some measurement scale do not have a high level, but rather a small level: absolute zero. While the absolute scales are based on the definitive zero, the relative ones have other names.

Temperature and humidity

temperature types

There are different types of temperature which can be measured with different instruments, some of these are presented below to get an idea of it:

Body temperature

Body temperature is based on the increase or decrease of heat in an organism. In order to control the temperature, each organism has its own elements to carry out thermoregulation, which are biological procedures that are activated to raise or lower the temperature, and thus adapt to environmental properties.

In humans, normal body temperature is at least 37 degrees. To maintain it at that level, the body needs several mechanisms to modify the temperature, among which are: vasodilation (where the skin temperature drops) to raise or maintain heat and sweating, which is used to lower it.

When the increase in heat occurs, this means that there is a fever, this is the response that the body has to a possible infection, while with a drop in normal body temperature it can signal a case of hypothermia, which can happen due to a body temperature rather cold environment or as a sign of some illness.

dry temperature

It is known as dry temperature of the air of an environment (or simply dry temperature) to the temperature that is in the air, replaced by the heat radiation of the elements that surround that specific environment and the fruits of humidity and movements of air.

wet temperature

This air current appears by means of a small fan or by placing the thermometer in a mill and then making it rotate.

Melting and boiling temperature

When we mention the melting point we are talking about the temperature at which matter remains in a solid state and then changes to a liquid state.

In the same way, when it reaches the liquid state, the temperature continues to rise, reaching the boiling point, this means that it goes from a liquid state to a gaseous state.

What is atmospheric temperature?

This type of temperature reflects the amount of heat that is present in the air in a defined geographical location and is the main variant to be examined to determine climate models.

Some of them are the following:

Macrothermal: these are high temperatures.

Mesothermal: established in temperate climates.

Microthermal: low temperatures.

At the same time the atmospheric temperature contains three categories:

Maximum temperature: As its name indicates, it is the highest temperature that can be in the air for a duration of a day, a month or a year in a defined area.

Minimum temperature: This is the lowest temperature that the air has in a day, month or year in a given geographical area.

Medium temperature: this is the measure of the maximum and minimum temperatures of any.

Room temperature

The room temperature is the one that arises to be present in a closed place and in harmony between cold and heat.

Temperature and humidity

Being this way, it is estimated that a temperature that varies between 16 °C and 24 °C is the most suitable for people.

Basal temperature

This is the lowest temperature that the body can reach at rest. In people, the basal temperature is reached after having at least 6 hours of sleep.

What is humidity in the climate?

This is the measure of water vapor in the air, this measure is not insistent, but will depend on several elements, such as whether it has been raining regularly, if we are near the sea, if there are plants, among many more.

Everything will depend on the temperature that exists in the air, this means that if the air temperature drops, it will reflect less amount of vapor and that is why fog appears when we are breathing or the presence of dew during the night.

The air is filled with water vapor and is not able to hold as much, so the water becomes liquid.

air humidity

Air humidity is an element that works to measure the level of thermal comfort of the living body that moves in a certain environment.

It is used to calculate the extension of the air to evaporate the humidity in the skin, this refers to perspiration, it is also considerable for both the air and the earth so that the plants can have a good growth.

Water vapor has a smaller consistency than air, so humid air (combines air and steam) is less compact than dry air.

The hot air that holds the water vapor rises into the atmosphere. The temperature of the atmosphere drops with an average of 0,7 °C every 100 meters.

Being in the coldest areas, the water vapor is concentrated and forms the Clouds (from drops of water or just ice crystals).

At the moment that these drops of water or ice crystals come together by contact upon cooling, they have a greater weight and fall causing precipitation in the form of rain or snow.

Temperature and humidity

When does an air mass become saturated?

At the moment that a set of air is filled with water, the mist comes out, with the greatest capacity to accommodate the vapor, it is known as full vapor oppression. This value shows us the maximum vapor capacity that an air mixture can have before becoming a liquid.

Due to the partial humidity, it is possible to have a perception of how close an air group is to reaching the point of congestion, for this reason it is believed that this type of humidity has 100%, it is commented that the air group cannot hold more amount of water, from that moment drops known as dew are formed.

All this happens when the air temperature drops, so it cannot store more steam capacity, when the air temperature increases, it can store more steam without the need to form water droplets.

How can we make an air mass saturate?

Humidity is higher in low-temperature air masses. In order to understand this correctly, let us think that when steam comes out of our mouth in winter, this air that comes out when we breathe contains a defined temperature and water capacity. .

However, when it leaves the mouth and is placed in contact with external cold, a temperature occurs abruptly. With regard to cooling, the air mass is left without enough to retain the vapor, thus appearing congestion, since the vapor is compacted and forms fog.

Why do the windows of the car fog up and how do we remove it?

Steam stains car windows. When this happens, the best solution during winter nights or rainy days is to improve air condensation.

How do you measure humidity and evaporation?

Humidity can be measured thanks to the help of an element called a psychrometer, this is based on 2 types of thermometers that are the same or not called a dry thermometer, it works only to measure the temperature in the air.

The other is known as a wet thermometer, it has the deposit wrapped in a damp cloth with the help of a wick that puts it in contact with a container of water.

The function is very easy: the water that wets the fabric evaporates, for this it acquires the heat of the air that surrounds it, whose temperature begins to decrease.

The temperature and the main capacity of the vapor in the air, the capacity of the evaporated water is high or low in the same decrease causes a further decline in temperature with the help of humidity.

Based on these two values, it is thought that humidity is partial by means of a mathematical formula that links them.

For greater convenience, double-entry tables are used with the thermometer that give the value of partial humidity with the beginning of the temperatures of the two thermometers, without having to do any type of calculation.
