Biography and life of Saint Pediment of Périgeux

Saint Pediment of Périgeux was born in the third century in the city of Périgueux, in France. He was the son of a noble and Christian family. At eighteen, he went to study in Rome, where he converted to Christianity. He then returned to France and was ordained a priest.

During the reign of Emperor Diocletian, Saint Fronton was arrested and imprisoned for preaching the Gospel. In jail, he and other prisoners were tortured in cruel and inhumane ways. Finally, San Frontón was beheaded in 304 AD.
