The church body of Christ
The Word of the Lord describes us the church as the body of Christ. We can find it in various passages of Scripture. Among them, the Book of Romans, chapter 12, verses 4 -5 we find it as follows:
«4 Because in the same way that in a body we have many members, but not all the members have the same function,
5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and all members one of another.”
We are one body, the body of Christ and He is the head, as we can find in the book of Ephesians, chapter 5, verse 23.
"For the husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the church, which is his body, and he is its Savior."
In the light of the Scriptures we clearly find that the Lord Jesus Christ is the head of the church, that is, he is the one who coordinates, the one who gives the orders, and his body that is the church obeys and walks according to the eternal purposes that He as Savior establishes you. Purposes that are fulfilled in our lives and bring growth and peace to it, to which we have also been called.
The body has no power over itself, it cannot function without the head, in the same way, the Church cannot act without Christ, who is the head of the church.

We are one in Christ
As the body of Christ we are one in Him. That is, we walk according to his precepts and united. We emphasize the idea that the body cannot walk without the head nor can it live individualized in its parts. In other words, the hands cannot walk without the feet, nor the body without the face, among others.
In the Lord, the Church must be in unity, as we can read in 1 Corinthians, chapter 12, verses 11-24.
Being a body, everything that happens to one member affects another, the book of 1 Corinthians, chapter 12, verses 25-26 states:
«25 so that there is no disagreement in the body, but that the members all care for one another.
26 So if one member suffers, all the members grieve with it, and if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it."
Based on the previous text, the Church must walk in unity, what affects or hurts a believer must affect and hurt us all. In the same way, the joy of a believer is the joy of all, always walking hand in hand with the Master who is our guide.
Although we all have different functions within the body of Christ, we are all complementary to each other, walking in love and unity is the mandate that our Lord and Master leaves us.

The Church as the Body of Christ: One Family
The Christian church as the body of Christ establishes empathic relationships with other believers, whom we consider family, family, because we are brothers. The sacrifice of our Lord Jesus was for everyone, not for a small group of people.
For this reason, as the body and family of Christ, we have the task of bringing the message of salvation to those who have not yet believed in Him. The Lord has rescued us and has made us live in unity, in the unity of his Spirit, as stated in his Word.
We say that when we come to Christ we find a new family because by coming to Him and relating to his church, our lives are built. Just as in a family there are many members and between each of them there is love, empathy, solidarity, tolerance, among other values to highlight, so when we come to Christ we develop the fruit of the Spirit among his body, as we do not teaches the book of Galatians, chapter 5, verses 22 and 26.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
It is these fruits that allow us as believers to relate to each other as a family, as the new family that the Lord gives us when we come to his ways and form part of the body of Christ.
