I love Jehovah, because he has heard
My voice and my pleas;
Because he has inclined his ear to me;
Therefore I will invoke him all my days.
Bands of death surrounded me,
The anguish of Sheol found me;
Anguish and pain I had found.
Then I called on the name of the Lord, saying:
O Lord, deliver now my soul
For you have delivered my soul from death,
my eyes of tears,
And my feet from slipping.
I will walk before the Lord
In the land of the living.

3take your spear and face those who persecute me;
Tell me that you are my savior!
run away in shame
those who want to kill me;
run away in shame
those who want to hurt me;
Be like chaff blown away by the wind,
cast down by the angel of the Lord!
Let your path be dark and slippery,
persecuted by the angel of the Lord!
For no reason they set a trap for me;
they dug a hole for no reason
for me to fall into it.
May misfortune surprise them!
Let them fall into their own trap!
May they fall from grace!
Then I will rejoice in the Lord,
because he will have saved me.
10With all my heart I will say:
"Who is like you, Lord?
