Juan Miñana: Work and life
He was a man who was born in the autonomous Spanish community of Catalonia in 1959. At the age of 20, he managed to publish his first book of poetic prose, which was called Vespre de Festa, in 79. But it was not until 86 that where he drew critical attention with the satirical novel called La Claque. It was translated into two languages.
In this publication called Claque, Juan Miñana jokingly gathered the ways in which the group of those people who are paid to applaud in a presentation is explained and how it works. This group of people are most of the time ignored and always pass as real public. However, in Juan Miñana's book they somehow receive the importance they deserve for boosting or motivating the presenter, actor, etc., throughout the show.
Currently this work is practically replaced in television programs with canned laughter.
