The Nightingale and the Rose is a fairy tale that revolves around a young student, who is in love with his teacher's daughter whom he wants to invite to the ball organized by the prince. In order to dance together, the girl made it a condition that she had to get a red rose, but in the young man's garden there was no flower of this type, so she was sad.
The nightingale that lived in his garden, hearing him cry, wanted to help him and flew across the garden to visit all the rosebushes, perched on several and found one under the young man's window; but to get the red rose he had to sing the sweetest song and give his life to dye the rose redder since the rosebush told him that winter had frozen his veins.
Thus, the nightingale agreed to make the sacrifice where he sang nonstop all night under the moonlight and nailed his chest to the thorns of the rosebush so that his blood ran through its veins and thus created the longed-for red rose.
